Film Opening Info 1

My opening was changed from a murder film opening to a zombie look opening. I also changed the title of the film from Murder In The Day to Murder Zombies.
I filmed my opening on Tuesday (13th October 2009).
It was a sunny day, so it was fine for filming.
Max, Rob and Elliott acted in my opening as i could not get anyone to act in it.
I changed the opening alot, compared to my story board and origanl plan.
The cast got carried away abit while filming, but i think it looks really good.
I have still got to edit it, hopefuly i can do this on friday (16th October 2009).
I was set in the park which was down the road from Coleridge school. I wanted it to be set in a forest, but it was difficult to find one and get their as the other cast have to film their film opening, so it was set in the park, which had a forest look to the part we i filmed in. It was only set in the park.
Filming was finished in about 2 hours from when i started, but later i decied to add more close up views of characters and the knife and that took about 30 minutes.
In the opening you do not see the killers face as if you see his or hers face that would not make the rest of the film every exciting as you know who the killers is.

For the blood, i used tomato ketchup insted of fake blood as it make a very big mess and it stains eanything that it touch's. Their was ketchup everywhere when we was finished. The knife was real as i could not find the right fake knife, so we had to be careful when the character gets stabbed and we made sure that he got stabbed under the armpit to make it look like he did get stabbed.
Max played the Killer, Elliott played as himself (the person who died) and Rob played as him self. While filming a runner ran past just before the killer came into the park, it was not planned for him to be in it, but in the end i think it looks good with running past and the killer comes in.
I used the HD camera to film. I filmed on the stand and off the stand.
At the end Elliott turned into a zombie and the killer, played by Max was half zombie and half human.
My favorite scene to film was when Elliott got stabbed. The scene was not ment to make people laugh, it was ment to be a serious death, for a serious film, but the actors took over their character as if it was them self. I think it is much better then what i had planned. Everything turns out different, and i am glad it has. It is good to try new things. I think it was a good idea to let the characters say what they feel that they should say as well and not just what i want because i want the best possible outcome. I am happy with what i filmed and i think it will look really good when i am finished.
